Serger Workshop: Make a Camp-Style Button-Down Shirt
Elevate your serger skills in our Serger Workshop: Make a Camp-Style Button-Down Shirt! In this class, Carol will flip the script on garment making – sew the majority of a button-down top on your serger and add the finishing touches with a sewing machine. Even better, you pick the button-down pattern that complements your style. Please make sure your selected pattern has a camp-style collar, that does not have collar stand.

What To Bring:

Your serger in good working order. It is important that you know the basic use of your serger before class. If you need help understanding your serger, we recommend taking our Make Friends with Your Serger class

A printed copy of your pattern, assembled if necessary

Pre-washed fabric in the correct yardage for your size

Four serger cones in a coordinating color to your fabric

Polyester thread in a coordinating color to your fabric

Buttons, interfacing, and other notions identified in your selected pattern.
A list of recommended tools and notions will be sent in advance of the class.

| Instructor Bio: | Carol is a lifelong Mt. Airy resident. She has been a sewing instructor in the Philadelphia area for many years. She is educated as a Trained Sewing Educator thru the Home Sewing Association and studied Industrial Fashion Methods at Philadelphia University. Her favorite item to sew is garments but also enjoys machine embroidery and quilting. Teaching serger classes is her specialty. Follow her sewing adventures on Instagram @ceesews. |
