You’ve mastered the basics of Foundation Paper Piecing—now it’s time to level up!

In this advanced FPP workshop, we’ll tackle the Geometric Sewing Machine by Quiet Play Designs, a multi-section paper-pieced pattern that’s perfect for learning how to manage more complex FPP projects.

We’ll go beyond the basic flip-and-sew as you learn how to stay organized when working with multiple pattern sections, determine which fabric colors go where, keep track of all those pieces, and accurately join odd-shaped FPP sections together to create one finished panel.

By the end of class, you’ll have a colorful geometric sewing machine taking shape—and, more importantly, a whole new set of FPP skills you can use to tackle more complicated patterns on your own confidently.

Your finished sewing machine panel can become a pillow, tote bag, wall hanging, sewing machine cover, part of a quilt, or whatever else you dream up!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate
Students should already have a basic understanding of Foundation Paper Piecing. This is not an introductory FPP class.

Pattern Required: Students must purchase the Geometric Sewing Machine pattern from Quiet Play Designs and print the pattern before coming to class.
