Community Protest Quilt Open Sew

The blocks have been created—now it's time to bring the quilt to life.

Join us for a special Community Protest Quilt Open Sew as we begin assembling the quilt and creating any additional filler or supplemental blocks needed to complete the design. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of the final stage of a truly community-driven project.

Whether you contributed a block, followed the project from afar, or simply want to lend a hand, all are welcome - but space is limited. We'll be laying out blocks, discussing quilt construction, piecing supporting elements, and working together to transform individual voices into one powerful collective statement.

No special skills are required. There will be plenty of tasks for quilters, sewists, and enthusiastic helpers of all experience levels. If you've ever wanted to see how a community quilt comes together behind the scenes, this is your chance.

Sewing machines, irons, cutting tools will be provided, if you'd like to help piece blocks, or simply come ready to collaborate. Together, we'll take the next steps toward turning this collection of stories, messages, and artwork into a finished quilt that reflects the creativity and convictions of our community.

Come stitch with us and help write the next chapter of this quilt's story.
