Intermediate Garment: Make the Burnside Bib Overalls

Meet your new favorite wardrobe staple! The Burnside Bib Overalls are effortlessly cool, endlessly wearable, and surprisingly versatile. With a relaxed fit, two pant-leg options, and those signature crossed back straps, this pattern is equal parts comfort and style—perfect for layering through the seasons or wearing solo on warm summer days.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to construct a pair of woven overalls from start to finish, building confidence in garment sewing along the way. We'll cover techniques like working with facings, assembling a bib, creating adjustable straps, installing pockets, and achieving a clean, professional finish throughout.

This size-inclusive pattern includes multiple styles: make the classic full-length version or opt for a cropped length for a breezy summer vibe. Whether you're dreaming of linen for that effortless drape or a structured canvas for a more utilitarian look, you'll leave with a handmade piece you'll reach for again and again.
