Advanced Beginner Garment: The Holmes Dress

Come make this fantastic new dress from Helen’s Closet. The Holmes Dress is a relaxed, comfortable dress. Incredibly practical for everyday or easy to dress-up for a fun event. It works up beautifully in light to medium-weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, lawn, rayon, and more.

This class is intended for advanced beginner garment sewists and seasoned sewists. It offers the chance for sewists to practice raising or lowering the neckline (if you wish), adding a ruffle to a hemline, bias binding a neckline, setting in sleeves, sewing an angled pocket, sewing buttons, making button holes, and adding a drawstring waist.

The Holmes Dress pattern has a lot of ease and comes in two size ranges. One is based on a B-cup and ranges from 0-22. The second is based on a D-cup and ranges from size 12-34.
