Sewing for Littles: Lion Overalls (Kids Sizes 1 - 6)
Overalls are a kids’ wardrobe classic — and an excellent way to build garment-sewing skills. In this workshop, you’ll sew the Lion Overalls, a playful yet practical project that lets you focus on structure, construction, and details without the pressure of complex fit.
This class is all about technique. You’ll work through multi-step garment construction while making a highly customizable piece, with options for an optional pocket and either a shorts or pants version. No kids required — just a desire to level up your skills in a low-stress, satisfying way.
You’ll learn:

- Sewing straps and bib-style pieces
- Working with mid-weight woven fabrics like denim
- Clean finishing techniques for durable, everyday wear
- How small details (like pockets!) elevate a garment

She currently works at the Philadelphia Art Museum and has been doing reproduction sewing & upholstery there since 2005. A patent instructor, she loves walking sewists through the magic of garment construction to help them build their own handmade wardrobes. |
