Next Level Quilting: Quilting Skillbuilder 2

Take your quilting to the next level! In this 6-session workshop, we’ll dive into intermediate and advanced techniques to expand your skills and open up new design possibilities. Perfect for graduates of our Beyond the Basics Skillbuilder or confident quilters ready for a challenge, this series emphasizes hands-on practice, experimentation, and technique mastery.
Across six sessions, you’ll explore:
- Half-Rectangle Triangles – sharpen your precision with this versatile technique.
- Curves – stitch smooth arcs and add flow and movement to your blocks.
- Machine Appliqué – learn clean, creative ways to appliqué by machine.
- Cathedral Window – a classic technique for dimensional, textural blocks.
- Y-Seams – conquer set-in seams for dynamic quilt designs.
- Improv – unleash your creativity with free-form piecing.
Students will receive detailed handouts for each technique (no book required). Expect to practice in class and possibly complete some homework between sessions to reinforce skills.
By the end of the series, you’ll have a portfolio of sample blocks, plus the confidence to incorporate these advanced techniques into your own quilt projects.
