English Paper Piecing: Hexi Play!

Join us for a hands-on introduction to English Paper Piecing (EPP)—a relaxing and portable hand-sewing technique that’s perfect for slowing down and stitching with intention. In this workshop, you'll learn how to hand-stitch charming hexagon ("hexi") shapes, explore both traditional and modern layout options, and create a beautiful panel you can later turn into a pouch, pincushion, or needle book. We’ll have lots of examples to show you just what you can do with this fun technique!
We'll guide you through:
- Basting fabric to paper templates
- Hand-stitching precise hexagons
- Arranging layouts to suit your style
Class fee includes a starter kit with everything you need to get stitching:
?? Hexi papers
?? Fat quarter for your background
?? Needle & thread
?? Magnet grip to hold hexi’s while sewing
?? Access to glue sticks during class
Please bring:
?? Snips or small scissors
?? Fabric to make your hexis - anything 2.5” or larger will work - you can even bring or buy a mini charm pack
???? Optional: 28mm rotary cutter + small cutting mat if you’d like to prep additional fabric
Whether you’re brand new to EPP or want a fun refresher, this class is the perfect way to explore the magic of slow stitching in good company.
