Serger Skills: Fleur Robe Workshop

Build your serger confidence with the Fleur Robe by Mood Fabrics! This chic and cozy design is the perfect project for building your serger confidence. Whether new to your serger or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop will guide you through key techniques while creating a stylish robe you'll love.
In this class, you'll learn:
- How your serger is your sewing machine’s BFF
- Mastering clean, professional-looking seams using a 4-thread overlock stitch
- Tips for handling curves, corners, and tricky fabrics
- Finishing techniques for a polished look
You'll leave with a finished Fleur Robe and the know-how to tackle more serger projects in the future!
What to Bring:
- The pattern printed, cut out & assembled. This pattern is free of charge. Download it here: Fleur Robe
- Pre-washed fabric (suggested types: waffle knit, French terry, flannel, jersey, cotton, lawn, linen, rayon) 3-5 yards depending on sizing (the shop sample was made using French terry)
- Matching Serger cones - 4
- 90/14 needles
- Steam-a-seam 1/4" or fusible web
- Basic sewing tools (pins, scissors, etc.)

Instructor Bio: | Carol is a lifelong Mt. Airy resident. She has been a sewing instructor in the Philadelphia area for many years. She is educated as a Trained Sewing Educator thru the Home Sewing Association and studied Industrial Fashion Methods at Philadelphia University. Her favorite item to sew is garments but also enjoys machine embroidery and quilting. Teaching serger classes is her specialty. Follow her sewing adventures on Instagram @ceesews. |
