Sew Your Way to Sustainability #2: Sewing Basics - HandStitched Tea Towel

What’s a tea towel, you ask? It’s a hardworking, beautiful kitchen essential that deserves a place in your real-life, messy kitchen! And guess what? You can make your own—pretty, practical, and perfectly sized—using fat quarters (because they’re the perfect size already!).
In this class, you’ll sew a double-layer cotton tea towel that gets softer and more absorbent with every wash. Then, add a touch of Japanese Sashiko-inspired stitching around the edges using pearl cotton for a subtle handmade look and a little extra structure.
Why You’ll Love It:
- Soft, durable, and absorbent—yes, you can actually use them!
- A great way to showcase your favorite fabrics
- Light embroidery detail keeps the shape & adds charm
- An easy, fun project for all skill levels!
Supplies Needed:
- 2 coordinating fat quarters- Pearl cotton in a color of your choice
- Matching or contrasting thread
Bonus Perk: Enjoy 10% off any class-related purchases!
