Sundays In Stitches #6: The Orchard Dress
SUNDAYS IN STITCHES: A 9-DRESS WORKSHOP SERIES
Join our Weekly Dress Workshop Series – Sundays at Needles & Bolts!
This workshop registration is for the Orchard Dress #6 out of 9 dresses.
The Orchard Dress is an effortless addition to any wardrobe, featuring spaghetti straps and a dartless a-line silhouette. Pockets make it super versatile! Sew Orchard in a drapey lightweight fabric for a flowy sundress. Try it in a light cotton or linen for more structure and volume. The straps and bias finish can be sewn in a contrast fabric, if desired. Orchard is an obvious choice for summer and also works well for holidays and events. Pair Orchard with a t-shirt or turtleneck for the cooler months!
No need to make a muslin, we'll dive right into the construction of this garment.
In this class, you will learn how to read a garment pattern, make bias binding straps, and add inset pockets.
Supplies needed:
- Refer to the size chart here for fabric requirements
- polyester sewing thread
- 1/2 yards of lightweight fusible interfacing (we like SF101)
Workshop price includes printed pattern instruction and pieces. This is a free pattern from Helen's Closet. We ask that you subscribe to the Helen's Closet newsletterto receive the digital download.
