SUNDAYS IN STITCHES: A 9-DRESS WORKSHOP SERIES
Join our Weekly Dress Workshop Series – Sundays at Needles & Bolts!
This workshop registration is for the Reynolds Dress #5 out of 9 dresses. A breezy and minimalist tank dress with adjustable straps. Perfect for a hot day, this dress pairs well with linens or light cotton fabrics. Throw this simple sundress on and you will instantly be in the mood for a relaxing garden stroll or a cold drink by the pool.
Reynolds features wide shoulder straps, bust darts, inseam pockets, and a side slit with mitered corners at the hem. This is a pull-on-overhead design with shaping in the side and back seams. The top of the garment is finished with a topstitched facing.

You will also need polyester thread to match your fabric and a yard of Interfacing - we like SF101
Kick off 2025 with our Weekly Dress Workshop, running Sundays from January through March. Whether you're a beginner or ready to level up your skills, this series offers something for everyone with 9 stunning dresses to sew. You can sign up for the whole series or choose individual workshops based on your interest and skill level.

A playful, A-line dress with lots of movement. Its relaxed fit makes it comfortable for everyday wear, while still having style appeal. - The Teresa Dress (a NEW Stitch Jawn original)
A debut piece! Expect an exciting and fresh design that blends comfort and creativity in an original style. - The Benning Dress (Seamwork): This V-neck, tiered dress offers a flowy silhouette and is great for color-blocking. Sewn in lightweight fabrics like cotton or linen, it’s ideal for spring and summer
- The Reynolds Dress (Helen’s Closet): A breezy and minimalist tank dress with adjustable straps. Perfect for a hot day, this dress pairs well with linens or light cotton fabrics.
- The Orchard Dress (Helen’s Closet): The Orchard features spaghetti straps and a dartless a-line silhouette. Pockets make it super versatile! Make it with fabrics like linen, cotton, or chambray.
- The Tea House Dress (Sew House Seven): A relaxed and elegant kimono-style dress with clean lines and unique detailing. Perfect for linen or drapey fabrics.
- The Charlie Caftan (Closet Core): A chic caftan with multiple variations including a maxi length. Great for creating a relaxed yet elevated look.
- The Emerald Dress (Made by Rae): A classic, simple shift dress designed to offer comfort in the summer heat. Sewn on the bias, you'll learn how to work with fabric in a whole new way. We love it with sandals and a hat on hot days, or layered under a warm sweater or cowl as the seasons change and the days turn cool.
Classes start easy and progress in complexity as we go, making it perfect for beginners looking to learn new skills and experienced sewists ready for a challenge. Each class runs for a full day on Sunday. We’ll provide the pattern—you bring the fabric, thread, and any notions required.

Skill Details: | This is a beginner-level garment class but not a beginning sewing class. You must be comfortable winding a bobbin and threading a needle. If you would like to learn how to use a sewing machine, sign up for our Make Friends with Your Machine workshop. |
Materials Included: | Pattern is included. We have classroom machines to use along with cutting and pressing tools. |

Instructor Bio: | Amanda Karel began cross-stitching when she was 6 years old. Over the years, her love for making things expanded into several formats -- sewing garments, baking, crochet, embroidery, macrame, and now quilting. She loves teaching, learning new skills, and helping people realize their creative visions.
