Pattern Drafting from Beloved Garments: A Hands-On Workshop
Do you have a favorite garment that you wish you could recreate? Join our hands-on sewing workshop designed for experienced sewers who want to learn how to draft their own patterns from cherished pieces in their wardrobe. This class is perfect for those with garment-making experience who are ready to take their skills to the next level.
Class Highlights:
* Hands-On Pattern Drafting: Under the guidance of our skilled instructor, you’ll learn how to draft accurate paper patterns from your favorite garments.
* Personalized Assessment: Bring 2-3 garments you’d like to replicate. The instructor will assess the complexity of each and help you choose the one best suited to your skill level.
* Collaborative Learning: Work closely with the instructor and fellow participants to draft your patterns, ensuring you leave with a detailed and usable pattern for your garment.
* Materials Needed: Please bring a roll of tracing paper (available for purchase in the shop) to draft your patterns.
While this class does not involve sewing, it equips you with the knowledge and skills to create patterns that you can use to sew your beloved garments at home. Elevate your sewing projects with custom patterns and unleash your creativity!

| Instructor Bio: | Beth is an accomplished seamstress, who has taught sewing classes for Mt. Airy Learning Tree. She currently works at the Philadelphia Art Museum and has been doing reproduction sewing & upholstery there since 2005. A patent instructor, she loves walking sewists through the magic of garment construction to help them build their own handmade wardrobes. |
