It features a distinctive diagonal zipper and is designed to hold everyday items like eyeglasses, books, Kindles, and tablets. Makes a wonderful gift, but if you love the pouch so much that you don’t want to give it up this class will also include a discussion of how to use up your scrap pieces to make different pouches! 

This class is great for beginner sewists looking to practice their new skills, people interested in learning how to use their walking foot to quilt, and the sewist who is scrambling to make gifts for the holidays. 

What you will learn:

• Simple straight line quilting techniques

• How to install a zipper

• How to bind a pouch
  

Supplies needed:

• The pattern (you will receive a link to the pattern site after registration to purchase and print the pattern) 

• Fabric appropriate to your size pouch (we recommend an extra 1/4 yard of binding fabric to make the binding components of this class easier

• Fusible Foam

• A zipper appropriate to your size pouch (size 5 nylon zippers are recommended)

• Thread to match or contrast your fabric for quilting
