The Dress Shirt is a lightweight, versatile dress inspired by Grandpa’s shirt. It is a relaxed, classic cut that is absurdly comfortable to wear loose. Includes a rolled-up sleeve or a short sleeve.
Inspired by the shape of a classic men's shirt, the dress shirt is a loose-fitting frock with a bib front and shirttail hem. It's one of those garments that is easy to throw on over leggings or wear alone, and it really comes into its own when sewn out of lightweight fabrics like linen or chambray.
This is a natural second garment to make after the Scout tee.
Fabric suggestions - linen, linen blends, denim, cotton chambray, Indian handweaves, fine wool.
