Beginner Garment Sewing: The Renee Pinafore Workshop
Join us for a fun 1-day workshop to sew up this versatile pinafore!
Made in linen, linen cotton, cotton canvas, or woven cotton, this airy pinafore will keep you cool on the hottest days!
Wear it in the winter with a turtleneck and a cardigan or throw a denim jacket on with leggings and you're ready to pick some apples.
No need to make a muslin, we'll dive right into the construction of this garment.
Price includes the printed pattern
You will need the following:
- 3 yards of 56" fabric or 3.5 yards of 44" fabric. Linen or a linen blend is best but cotton works great too!
- You'll also need thread to match your fabric for topstitching
- 1/2 yard of SF 101 interfacing

Parking:
- Free street parking is available on Germantown Avenue, Carpenter Lane, Meehan Street, and surrounding side streets. Please note that even if parking is free, there may be an enforced time limit. You may need to walk a bit to get to the shop, please plan accordingly.
Mass Transit:
• The SEPTA 23 bus from Market Street Station in Center City headed towards Chestnut Hill stops directly in front of Needles & Bolts.

| Skill Details: | Should be able to use a sewing machine including threading a needle and winding a bobbin + understanding seam allowance, but no garment experience needed! This is not a beginner sewing class - however it is the perfect first garment to make! |

| Instructor Bio: | Beth is an accomplished seamstress, who has taught sewing classes for Mt. Airy Learning Tree. She currently works at the Philadelphia Art Museum and has been doing reproduction sewing & upholstery there since 2005. A patent instructor, she loves walking sewists through the magic of garment construction to help them build their own handmade wardrobes. |
