Do you love botanical designs? In this workshop, you will learn how to elevate a fabric from floral to fabulous! Bring your favorite botanical fabric and learn how to boho it up, encrusting it with layers of embroidery stitches, beads, and sequins that will inspire you to look at fabric in a whole new way. You'll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art in progress and the skills to create additional pieces back at home with your favorite prints!

| Skill Details: | This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn some handstitching and embellishment techniques or seasoned stitchers looking to add to their stitching toolbox! Come prepared to be creative! |
| Materials Included: | Some beads, sequins, and some assorted embroidery flosses will be provided. |
| Requirements: | Bring or buy a fat quarter with a large floral motif. You'll want an assortment of Sue Spargo Eleganza threads in sizes 5 & 3 perle cotton, assorted needles including beading needles and embroidery needles, and an embroidery hoop large enough to contain your floral image. If you have beads/sequins in your craft stash, bring them to share with the class! You'll receive 10% off any supplies purchased for class. We have a large assortment of thread, needles, hoops, and other stitching accessories. |

| Instructor Bio: | A self-taught embroidery artist, Nichole spends time pairing color, pattern, and fabric combinations to create modern hoop art. While growing up, her seamstress mother tried (unsuccessfully) to teach Nichole how to sew. She then began experimenting with non-sewing-related fiber arts, and her appreciation for them grew as she stashed embroidery floss to make friendship bracelets, dabbled in weaving and rug hooking, and learning how to knit. It wasn?t until years later that something clicked and Nichole discovered how captivating the world of fabric could be (and, finally, with help once again from her mom, learned how to wrangle a sewing machine!) In recent years, Nichole discovered her love for creating contemporary hoop art embellished with freestyle embroidery, beads, sequins and lots of fiber!
