Bianca Springer - Hand Embroidered Cork Pouch
Join us for a relaxing afternoon of slow stitching and good conversation as we work with cork and hand embellish a zipper pouch customized with the word of your choosing. Under the guidance of Bianca, you'll learn new stitching techniques and create a personalized accessory that's both stylish and functional.
Whether you choose to decorate your pouch with the word QUILTER, MAKER, ARTIST, or SEWIST, all supplies needed to complete the project are included in the cost of the workshop. So all you need to bring is your creativity and a willingness to learn!
Inspired by her book Represent! Embroidery Stitch 10 Projects, 100+ Designs Featuring a Variety of Shapes, Skin Tones & Hair Textures, Bianca will teach a variety of beginner embroidery stitches you'll use to stitch your selected word. We'll even pre-install the zipper so you can simply hand-stitch the pouch closed and be ready to fill it!
This is a hand-sewn embroidery workshop, not a pouch-making workshop. Students will begin stitching the pouch and complete it independently with instructions for doing so. Depending on how quickly you stitch, you may finish your pouch in class.
