Block Party: Quilting Skillbuilder Series - Full Series
Join us each month to amp up your quilting skills! We'll tackle different techniques so you're ready to make any pattern!
Take some or take all the sessions. By the end, you'll have enough blocks to make a sampler quilt! We'll even help you put it all together at the end of the series!
Class Schedule is as follows:
April 30: Log Cabin || May 21: Half Square Triangles || July 23: Nine Patch || August 27: Flying Geese || September 24: Applique || October 22: Cathedral Window || November 19: Sewing Curves & Circles || December 10: English Paper Piecing (EPP) || January 21, 2024: Foundation Paper Piecing

| Skill Details: | Must know how to use a sewing machine. Should be able to use a rotary cutter and ruler and sew a 1/4-inch seam allowance. |
| Materials Included: | Includes expert instruction & use of classroom machines + black, white or cream colored thread. |
| Requirements: | Fabric scraps or fat quarters. If you are taking multiple sessions and want to use the blocks to make a sampler quilt, you may want to choose a background color and 2-3 other colors to make all your blocks. Later classes in the series are an hour longer than earlier sessions due to the difficulty level. |

| Instructor Bio: | Carol has had a needle in her hand for as long as she can remember. She began sewing garments at a young age but realized that her interest was more in artistic needle crafts like cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, and more recently quilting. Working with color and fabrics and exploring new patterns and quilting techniques, such as applique and foundation paper piecing, have become her passion. |
