Have you taken Quilting 101 and are ready to make your next quilt? Want a quilting refresher on a fun and fast quilt top? Come make the Squared Up quilt with us!
We'll spend the afternoon cutting, piecing, and stitching up a 48" x 48" baby-sized quilt top. You'll learn some new cutting techniques and we'll discuss ways you can finish the quilt on your own.

Skill Details:
Must have a working knowledge of a sewing machine and some quilting experience. If you would like to take this class but need a sewing machine workshop or to make your first quilt, sign up for our Make Friends with Your Machine class and/or Quilting 101 prior to taking this class.
Materials Included:
We have classroom machines to use but if you would like to BYO machine, feel free - don't forget the plug and pedal!
Requirements:
Required: Squared Up pattern || For the quilt top: 1 layer cake or 16 10" x 10" squares || 1-1/4 yards for background
For finishing: 3-1/4 yards for backing + 3/8 yard for binding + batting

Sydney is a nonprofit professional who resides in Mt. Airy with her husband, Rollin, and their two cats, Frosty & Babette. She has been sewing since elementary school and comes from a long line of stitchers. She previously taught sewing classes to middle school students through an after-school program in Burlington, Vermont. She loves sharing her love of sewing and fabric with others!
