Beginner Pant: The Pietra Pants
One of our favorite beginner trousers, the very flattering, perfect for any occasion, Pietra Pant from Closet Core will become a classic garment staple in your wardrobe!
The Pietra Pants are the best of both worlds; a flat front, high-waisted silhouette with the comfort of an elastic waist in the back. Featuring lengthening panels in the front with slanted hip pockets and a hidden waist stay, you'll never want to take them off.
Choose between four leg styles: a wide leg in floor-skimming or cropped length or a slim and tapered leg.
Over four 3-hour sessions, you'll take measurements, make a muslin toile, and stitch up a pair of well-fitted trousers specifically to your shape. Stitch them in linen, cotton, or poplin for a perfect pair of pants you'll want in every color.
For this class you'll need the following:
- Pietra Pants pattern
- Muslin for the toile in the correct yardage for your size
- Swedish Tracing paper
- Pins
- Marking Pencil
- Correct fashion fabric yardage for your size/style, matching thread
All materials are available in the shop at a 10% discount.
Schedule:
Day 1: Sewing up the muslin and checking fit
Day 2: Sewing your fashion fabric
Please Note: In an effort to finish the pant in class, this workshop requires you to come to the first session with your pattern traced & cut out. If you have attended our previous wardrobe workshops, this is how we start all classes.
If you are unable to do this on your own and need assistance, please sign up for the Pietra Pant Prep Session on February 3 from 6p-9p.
