Embroidery 101: Stitch the Philadelphia Skyline
Come stitch a clever line drawing of the Philadelphia skyline! We'll get you started on this Philly Skyline sampler. You'll leave knowing how to make the following stitches: Satin, Chain, Stem, French Knots, Backstitch & Whipped Backstitch. Depending on time you may have a chance to learn a few more stitches with the instructor.
With these stitches under your belt, you'll be able to embellish projects, create hand-stitched quilt labels, and follow any embroidery pattern.
This workshop includes everything you need to stitch the sampler including:
- an embroidery needle
- a hoop
- DMC floss in pattern colors
- a piece of white Kona cotton fabric
- instructions to take home.
Tools to bring or buy: a pair of small scissors or snips

Over the years, her love for making things expanded into several formats -- sewing garments, baking, crochet, embroidery, macrame, and now quilting. She loves teaching, learning new skills, and helping people realize their creative visions. Her dog Beef loves to claim every quilt Amanda has made as his own.
